Welcome to Christians On Call.
We are a Registered Charity consisting of a national team of Christian Community Workers.
Where you find people - you find God.

We are an inter-denominational group of Christian men and women working in our local communities wherever and whenever we are needed. Some of us are chaplains, organisers and helpers; others are fund raisers and volunteers. Any situation where people gather for the common good of their community is where are or we aim to be.
Historically the Church would always be present in some way to represent God amongst His children. For example; in schools, care homes, social clubs, residential homes, organised community events - any gathering of people within their community. Today, secularism appears to reject this way of living.

So are people rejecting God or religion? Well, we believe people want and need faith in their modern. We know so many seek companionship, support and fraternal love for one another. We strive to provide access to this by being visible and useful within our communities.
We are your Community Chaplains. Some of us are ordained, others lay, but we all have the same calling to represent God in the way Christ would have us do within this modern and changing world. We strive to continue the ministry of Christ outside of the conventional setting of a Church building.

OCC was founded in 1999 as a team of proactive clergy men and women but we have now extended our outreach with our Lay Discipleship Team and an open invitation to seek active membership without having been ordained.
Charles Michael is the founding bishop of the first and original 'On Call Clergy' which has evolved into the outreach we have today.

The original Order Of On Call Clergy (Registered Charity Number 1117867) was installed in 1999 by its founding and Principal Bishop, Charles Michael through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Although membership now encompasses all Christians with a burning heart for mission, his vision is the same today as it was then, to ensure a Christian and all-embracing presence within every corner of our modern and increasingly secular world. Extending our outreach into non ordained discipleship has enabled so many more people to reach out and express gospel concern.
We serve all people regardless of their personal or social circumstances within a non-judgemental framework. Over the last 11 years OCC has built up a team of clergy and laity with the commitment to extend the Kingdom of God within their local and wider communities.
The founding principles are of Christian simplicity, free of dogma and canon law, achieved through its non and inter-denominational status.
